Okay gotta finish the day on a good note, I am *almost* done with the base coat for this mini, and it's not too bad so far.

Tried to take a picture with the white painted, and the whole mini with the glass pot I was using to hold it fell on the floor. Took ten minutes to find a missing leg, tried to glue it back, broke the leg in a different place, I'm giving up on this specific Rumi 🤣. I guess I'll buy it again one day.

Another bookclub book,Terre des hommes by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry! Well, other folks in the book club read it in English, but I read it in French, which made for funny discussions (I was a bit surprised by some translation choices aha). Interesting read, especially for the aviation aspects...

Okay that's gonna be good enough for the base of Rumi's jacket, there are plenty of details to add but it'll have to wait for new brushes. Maybe I'll try the boots and shorts tomorrow, they are kind of a dark blue, but idk whether I'll just be lazy and go for black instead #kpdh

Also yes, things haven't progressed much, life has been busy and technically I have a move to prepare 😅. It will be hilarious to move with a bunch of half painted minis honestly

I genuinely think the details on those minis are going to kill me lol. Just looking at Rumi's jacket, yes there's the yellow, but I'm gonna need at least some tiny details in black and white, potentially pink depending on what I settle on for her shoulder, and maybe blue too? Rip

I went with the faerzress purple for Rumi's braid, which IMO does look good, and I have a yellow/orange that would go well for the vest, but I'm gonna have to do a bunch of coats for it to look good, and there's so many details that maybe I should wait for better brushes 🤔 #kpdh

Real talk, I considered doing all the minis at the same time, but now that I've done the skin of one Mira and the three Rumi, I think I'm just gonna do all the Rumi at first and then the Mira and then the Zoey. But first I need lunch lol.

Yeah I tried the citadel stuff once and almost broke the mini cause it just flew off. Meanwhile I've kept so many of those yogurt glass pots and I like the weight to stabilize my hands even further

Halfway through painting Mira's skin I said fuck it and ordered a bunch of even thinner brushes, including one called "the psycho brush", which feels appropriate. I'm gonna hate Mira's fingerless gloves. This is gonna be a big "trust the process" series, hum? #KPDH

Okay you all do not realize how much of a struggle this is gonna be for me, I lasted less than a minute with the Citadel Layer M brush, and not long later I had to switch from the Citadel Layer S to my Army Painter precise details, the smallest I've got. I'm using my jaw as a brush stabilizer. Help.
