In leu of video files coming out super fuzzy on BSky at the moment, I figured I'd just post some stills instead of the progress I've made so far on some of my more recent models!

Some of these still have some pretty old designs, but I still really like how they turned out for the time!

From there, I started blocking in other key details and such!! Hands at this resolution always prove to be a huge challenge... You can see where keeping her elbow joints clearly outlined and visible can help to suggest where the rest of her arms are meant to be, though!

Somewhere along the way, I'd decided that the overall motion felt a bit stiff... the pinwheel of her arm would leave the yo-yo to just sort of pendulum awkwardly 🤔

I was still exploring movement so everything is just a bunch of color-coded blobs! Major joints outlined so they don't get lost.

Posting a thread here of some of my archived progress on how I went about building this animation!

Initially, I had come up with an idle animation for her, and an "end frame" of where I wanted her to wind up. I find blocking out hands and feet help suggest the rest of the motion really well!
