I never thought about those mice, my cordless one ate batteries because it never slept. So wired is best. But BT headphones connect to three devices, PC, Chromebook, and phone, all at the same time. That's real useful

I was a regular at RS stores, always building electronic ideas, and getting special items, such as a 5v to 115v relay, to turn on electric power on a signal from a Vic20 pc

I'm just not into phones. I've got another PC online, but not logged into accounts yet

Not bad. If I call Veterans Affairs, I expect a selection of choices, token ' please stay online in queue ', but the guy helping me, knew the selection sequence, and we were speaking to someone in 5 minutes. They called me on the phone while driving home to follow up, so things are moving along

The source, since it was Radio Shack, has been overpriced and inferior quality. I remember (U2) when you could take a broken cord to Radio Shack to rebuild one. Then, no repairs on-site, then no repairs, just random parts racks, then no parts, just toys and phones. Then Bell bought it.. last straw

Save your seeds and grow some treelings over winter

On peut faire raciner du basilic dans l'eau en quelques semaines. Je crois qu'il pousse à l'intérieur tout l'hiver, sur un rebord. Je n'ai pas encore réussi à faire hiverner mon basilic.

I don't, but if I put the idea in my wife's head, she will. We lost all our pears this year. We were so shocked we checked for "people signs" (something picked them all) , it's our bastard crows. I waited a day too late, we went out next day with boxes, to pick about an expected 20kg fruit, all gone

Looking for a power supply, big enough to power my desktop. There's nothing for 160 kms that has parts, Amazon is 2 weeks, and might not be described accurately. I'm looking to buy a PC for the power supply. I'll go into withdrawal any day now as we enter day 3 of the shut down

Good morning. I hadn't looked back to find Gerry yet, I got up late. I was up for an hour overnight, but too early to start the day, so I took a shower and went back to bed. Slept again, which is rare. I'm way behind reading. My PC is broken, I don't finger poke very often on phones.

Howdy, I was about to put on a good book and step out into the cold. a lull in the weather

I think that's the direction our breeze is coming from, if you wouldn't mind jacking the heat and opening your windows, a nice warm breeze would be an improvement ;P Morning Gary
I was going to rush out to work after my stretches but between watching for a late sunrise & calling mom, morning lost

I probably had a few spare power supplies and took them to recycle and then I need one. It's rough enough in the city, there's no stores you can drive to with computer parts. I spend every day on a PC, so this is a priority repair. Ironic they delivered the new hard drive minutes before the failure

And computer stores tried to out-do Staples and did everything but computers. Parts had to be ordered online, not in the store? No point shopping there, I have to order online anyway. I used to be called nearly every night for a *friend's* important repair. Nothing since smartphones. I recycled all

It was easier when I was younger. It's frightening to think how long it has been since I took an A+ Computer Repair course, I was already repairing them, I just wanted a certificate. But back then, we had no Smartphones. I got my first one in 2013 and people stopped needing Computer Techs now

Last time (3 years ago at start of Covid, I think) same thing happened late at night, and I googled the model and a guy on the South Shore had one, and I had it back together that night, this time, I may have to wait for Amazon to deliver one, there's no computer stores anymore.

As you may know, I started on a laptop with Linux, then tried the second one with both Windows and Linux and lost the entire hard drive (not backed up) accepted my loss and moved on. But for my main PC, errors cannot be made, Did a backup, ordered a new drive, etc, then a power supply went,
