In this household the #SuperBowl (no matter the teams) has always been like a holiday. So, it’s been a busy morning preparing, rearranging, and decorating for our annual Super Bowl watch party tomorrow. It’ll be the 46th Super Bowl watch party my parents host, making this party older than me.

I’m being cautiously optimistic about this. Besides the casting of Jeremy Irons as Brom and the wonderful CGI work done with Saphira, I was extremely disappointed in the #Eragon movie. Here’s hoping the series sticks closer to the source material.

My family has a tradition that we go to a bookstore on January 1st and buy a book to start off the new year. This year couldn’t settle for just one book, so I bought 4: Brigands & Breadknives by Travis Baldree, We Solve Murders by Richard Osman, and Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo.

Saw the new Paul Rudd/Jack Black movie ANACONDA today—alone. I thought my 14 year old nephew might’ve been interested but apparently he just wants to spend the whole day hold up in his room napping or playing Fortnite. Seeing a movie at the theater with his uncle isn’t interesting to him anymore. 🥲

Once when we were getting on the Jurassic Park ride at Universal Studios we noticed Martin Short & friends boarding in the front row. After the ride I actually stood next to him when everyone goes to look at the photo from the waterfall splash. I walked away without saying a word to him.
In the early 90s I shared a hotel elevator with Emilio Estevez and I got out on my floor not having exchanged a single word with him
