It's disheartening to notice I haven't received any donations in over three days after all the effort I put into my social media. It's true I'm blessed with being able to eat every day and with a roof over my head. But we're afraid of what's going to happen in a few days when we run out of money.

This ritual is not about the drink itself, but about what it represents: respect, warmth, and honour.

Hospitality in #Palestine is sacred, and #coffee is its most powerful message. It is how hosts say: "You are important. Welcome. You are safe here."

In #Gaza, offering #coffee is one of the most genuine expressions of care. Whether expected or not, a guest rarely sits for more than a few minutes before being offered a small cup of coffee flavoured with cardamom and prepared with meticulous care.

This photo above is me with my friend Mohammed. He's one of my friends I regularly have #coffee with. Coffee is a little bit difficult to find and a little bit expensive, but it helps us to hold on.
