THIS. I’ve been saying this re my own city for a few years now. Commercial rent, like residential rent, is greedflated beyond reasonable measure. Mix that in with outer edge of Covid economy overlapping new Trump economy of “save our cash for emergencies”, so *of course* businesses are dying.

Don’t look at me. Spent the last week watching a bleak Canadian policier set in snowhell + several horror movies, but then rewatched Gentlemen Prefer Blondes last night.

(I finally replaced my 22-year-old Pajars that were seriously built to last, but after so much time, the treads had worn down, so they’re no longer stable on slippery patches. My new treads, however, may be overkill...)
