For the better part of a year, my dear friend @toriamos.bsky.social has been talking about this new project. It's absolutely her most ambitious project to date, so I was very proud and honored to be asked to contribute the key art for the album and tour announcement!

Have I told you this book is great? I'm not even to chapter 10 and have gasped/sobbed aloud multiple times. Goddamn... It's really great. The last line of chapter 5? Perfection.

and he posts his current read by @danielkraus.com because he knows this is something people do on the Internet.

Got my 25-26 COVID booster at CVS today in Burbank. Highly recommend. If you are making the appointment online, here's a list of criteria to help you... (In person they will not ask)

Today's score... Hollywood Poster and Book Co. In Burbank is having a sale of film posters from the collection of Alan Ladd Jr (best known as the executive who made sure we got Star Wars). This was what I bought for us...

As listeners of WTF have already heard this morning, we (@z2comics.bsky.social) are publishing the graphic novel history of Marc Maron's WTF podcast, brought to life by the always brilliant @boxbrown.bsky.social.

This is a dream project, and I'm so excited for you to read it!

We went to see this today. I am not the biggest Jeff Buckley fan, but it's a pretty terrific documentary. Definitely recommend seeing it in theaters.

Titus almost died while I was at SDCC. That is what the emergency vet was telling us. "He probably has cancer, you should prepare yourself".

It wasn't cancer.

It was an infection & he is doing much better now & he has decided that, If he is sitting on my lap, I cannot leave.

So, this is work now.

That was an insane SDCC. Good, but absolutely insane.

Today, I had the pleasure of meeting Steve Oliff for the first time. I gushed about his work and he showed me the original color guides for AKIRA. I almost wept. He is a lovely person.

One of the true pleasures of being in Germany - running 6-10km along the Rhine, separating Germany and France. Last time I was there I was constantly winded,.but this time, biked 26km to buy groceries, went running... Felt great. You can teach old dogs, etc etc...

In Germany, I'd found myself bicycling past fields & I asked "Was ist das?" - expecting the answer to be some vegetable. Instead I was told they're "honor system" flower fields. You pick your flowers & pay at the box. I thought "this would never happen in the US" & that was a sad perfect example

"What's a poster you had up in your room growing up?"

I had a LOT of Rock posters. Prince, Randy Rhodes, Rush, but this one... Man, I loved it.

Quote post a Superman comic that came out the month you turned 15.

I couldn't tell you a thing about this issue... I didn't return to Superman until Byrne rebooted everything in '86. My superhero books were deep in the world of Miller, Sienkiewicz, Moore, Chaykin, Grell, etc at this point.
