And there is nothing anyone can do about it. When the Department of Justice refuses to follow the law, not to be too doomsy but, it's kinda over for justice in the US.

Nice!

To be fair, I once was on a private jet when I was the COO of a tiny Korean food startup. If one of those bastards turned out to be a pedo (rich old white men so probably?), I would have no idea.

Agree with the other commenter. D(lol)J is THE law department. There is no law in the US anymore. Well, if you're not a rich white man that is.

It's not incompetence, it's corruption. If we can't trust the DOJ (we can't), then law/justice in the US is no more. We have no recourse until, well, I don't know.
December 20, 2025 at 1:13 AM
The law doesn't matter in a country where the D(lol)J breaks the law. Nowhere to go for justice.
December 20, 2025 at 12:45 AM
This has happened in every country basically. Now is our turn.
December 20, 2025 at 12:40 AM
I mean, it doesn't matter. If the DOJ is corrupt and the courts are corrupt, we have zero recourse. There is no justice in the US.
December 20, 2025 at 12:36 AM
Think about to which organization the complaint will have to go through.

Justice is no longer a thing in the US.

Can't we just call it the DlolJ?
December 20, 2025 at 12:14 AM
Thank you 😊

To be fair, it suggested a lot of historians, you were the most recent poster on here when I started looking🤗. So, probably more me than ChatGPT. 👈🏼Uhm, I'm trademarking that y'all so don't steal it hahaha
December 20, 2025 at 12:06 AM
No worries! And I totally understand haha

Maybe you could point me in a direction then pretty please 🥺 ?

I want to look at the similarities between the current lack of trust in the justice system in the US to that of Spain in the 16th/early 17th centuries.
December 20, 2025 at 12:02 AM
Leia, I found you when I asked ChatGPT about historians that could discuss Spain's bankruptcies/collapses due, basically or in part, to nobody trusting their justice/legal system...

Did it get it right? 😬
