I’m so sorry. And you are so right! My buddy, Opie, one year ago. We’re lucky to have them. Take care.

Another gorgeous sunset, Sunday dinner with my lovely wife, and Ruby (Sue/Tuesday/Don’t tTake Your Love to Town).

Ruby is exhausted after a big day at the dog park.

I just love seeing them both. May I say she takes immaculate care of the Lambie. Ruby says yo!

Sorry for your loss. My Opie. Same here. We’re blessed to have them

Trying to mow a bit before full-on winter in Northern MI. Between snow squalls on the mower, I went a little OCD on my firewood stack.

It’s worth the work and the time in the woods.

We’re expecting our first blast of lake affect snow today, so the log rack is full. We lost two sugar maples this year, so we have plenty of firewood.
My wife calls me a derogatory name for my wood-stashing and gathering habits.
I like low gas bills and the warmth and smell. Cozy cottage here

My wife purchased the book after Maria Hessa won the Nobel Peace Prize, instead of the Orange Monster, thankfully.

It’s been on display since it arrived.

Do you think she’s trying to tell me something?

Ruby by the fire.

Yes, our last dog, Opie was beagle/ hound mix but very mild. No leash. Just intuitive. We’re still bonding with Ruby

We flavor our little village on the lake with cherry. Maple, oak and Ash.
I really feel like we deserve some credit. A fire smells great.

We have bears and coyotes, too. Which is one reason for the janky fence portion of our 100 year old fieldstone. She’s a flight risk, too. 100% beagle. We’re working on it.
