anytime treating adhd is more complicated than just throwing adderall at it, so many prescribers just shut down. are they not taught the mechanism of action for the medications they are prescribing? not all stimulant adhd meds work the same on dopamine >.<

i started taking estrogen to help with it, which helped a bit. also levodopa seemed to have some effect, even though it's a totally unrelated medication.

the whole "you were functioning before meds, why is it such a problem now?" argument is one that i used to have with myself until i realized a lack of outwardly noticeable symptoms just isn't the same as good mental health. people don't see the struggle, they just see the results.

my favourite side effect of perimenopause is not being able to handle any spicy food. like the spiciest i can go is ketchup or it feels like my mouth is full of acid for the next 20 minutes. no one warned me. there's not documentation about this. where's the README.
