Retired and loving it, Husband, Dad, loves the Habs, the ocean, cod fishing.
Agree with most of your thoughts Lori. I think Matheson should be included with the vets who can do more. Yes he is better than last year, but the last pounding we took, he was a big part of it. He can do better as well. Just my opinion.
Hopefully tonight the whole team plays better.

We could use both of these players right now.
December 11, 2025 at 1:15 PM
Agree our Defense are not helping our goalies, way to many turnovers, misplays, bad passes, in our own end, especially when the other team is forechecking. We really miss Guhle, he is our best shutdown D.

Totally agree
December 8, 2025 at 12:57 PM
For me, I would love to get him. He would be our Sam Bennett. Most of St. Louis players are below normal this year, due to slow start.
Brayden would bring much needed physicality, he would be great mentor for our young players.
December 8, 2025 at 12:55 PM
I don’t like this man on man, especially our D. Sometimes there’s nobody there guarding front of net.
December 8, 2025 at 1:23 AM
They were embarrassing the Leafs on their home ice. I think this will happen more and more as the young guns take the next step. Very exciting to watch, the goals will eventually come with this style of hockey.

Agree
December 7, 2025 at 12:27 PM
Habs win 5-3 Suzuki our captain scores the first goal
December 3, 2025 at 9:40 PM
That’s fair, both guys can be part of the team in the future, if they take another step.
Thanks for the updates
December 3, 2025 at 9:36 PM
I would love to see both make US Olympic team, but that may not happen.
December 3, 2025 at 9:33 PM
Not sure what the answer is. Looking at other successful teams and they have a good mixture of offense & Defense, physical, & skill. Colorado got Josh Manson, Burns, who plays big minutes and are physical, Makar & Toews are pp guys. We need shutdown D who plays big minutes & Physical.
December 3, 2025 at 9:31 PM
Agree, it’s not just a bad game, shake it off, come back stronger. That’s 14 gms now, and not improving.
December 3, 2025 at 9:23 PM
Agree, and trading Xhekaj won’t help, unless you bring in another D who can play big minutes, and be physical. Our top 4 D are pretty soft. Agree, opposing forwards are coming in way to easy, nobody trying to hit them. Our D are under pressure, coughs up pucks, turnovers, but nothing changes.
December 3, 2025 at 9:15 PM
No firing the coach is not an option now. Our injuries are not helping, especially Guhle.
December 3, 2025 at 9:08 PM
I agree with everything you said. But It’s not looking good moving forward , unless things change soon.
December 3, 2025 at 8:51 PM
And I noticed Hutson and Caufield are getting hit more often. Only a matter of time before one of our top guys gets serious injury.
December 3, 2025 at 5:55 PM
Agree, but right now Xhekaj needs to bring his game up so he can play 18-20mins.

Hutson 22:53
Dobson 22:42
Matheson. 24:40
Carrier 18:49
Struble. 15:19
Xhekaj 11:47

Most of the game is
played without a physical D on the ice . Other teams love it
December 3, 2025 at 4:01 PM
Shea Weber, Edmunston, Chariot, if only we had these 3 the way they were, nobody would be digging the puck out from our goalie. Be nobody standing around the front of the net.
December 3, 2025 at 2:56 PM
Big time. They desperately need a shutdown D. Even when Guhle gets back, they could use another shutdown D.
December 3, 2025 at 1:58 PM
Exactly, first time in decades. And it feels good.
December 2, 2025 at 3:29 PM
It was indeed a lot of dark years. Some years we had 5 or 6 good pieces, but never went all out to win a cup. What we are witnessing now is the first time, probably in Habs history, to do a proper rebuild. Long time coming, but it’s looking bright now once again. Future is bright again.
December 2, 2025 at 3:09 PM
If Montreal can become like Colorado in another couple years , that’s would be excellent. We have a lot of pieces in place now, and it’s exciting to watch them develop. Great read , thank you
December 2, 2025 at 2:17 AM
Agree, and the Habs are playing exciting hockey. No need to rush. It takes a few years to become a contender. More good prospects developing. I would like them to add a big physical defensive D, who kills penalties, but can play 18-20 mins. Like Nic Hague type. Be harder to play against
November 30, 2025 at 3:34 PM
Agree, use that game as a measuring stick. More work need to be done, not only #2 center. Let the young guns develop. I’m not against adding that #2 center if it’s not over 27-28 ish. The team is still improving which is good
