There once was a girl
Who lived in the forest
She whispered to her best forest friends:
“I’ve had a personal experience”

“Wow!” they exclaimed

A man she never met
Miles, miles away
Heard that “wow” and rose to his feet
Climbed hills
Crossed rivers
Fought dragons
Only to tell her:

“No, you didn’t”

UK FOLKS! I know of two full-time salaried roles in tabletop that will soon be open for:

- Editor
- Games Developer

Ideally based in/willing to move to Nottingham, UK. And I've been asked for recommendations!

I'll be prioritising marginalised folks, so please: DM me for details, comment and tag!

Absolutely worth your vote
The BSFA award nominations close very soon, Nebulas and Hugos incoming, so just boosting this with big puppy dog eyes (or with extreme cringe whilst 99% hiding under a rock like a toad, who can say)
I guess it's that time of year, huh? So here's my awards eligibility post 2024...

Three things pubbed this year in three categories. I'd be, as always, ridiculously grateful for your consideration 🖤

I see many posts debating the extent or not of misogyny in epic fantasy are citing lists of exclusively male authors. Time to repost this, I see.

This is straight up some of the best Star Trek I've seen in any medium in about a quarter of a century.
It nails the characters' voices and motivations and back stories. It has a philosophical point to make.

And most of all it has something politically relevant to say. It draws blood.

“Black users on Bluesky are already working to build a community on the site. One user, Rudy Fraser, launched Blacksky, a collection of curated, Black-centered feeds that filter out racism and misogyny to provide a safe, inclusive experience for users.”

Some X users say they’re hoping to create a new “Black Twitter” on other social media platforms.
