That's my experience too. Pretty much the only thing I ever use it for is DAX for PowerBI and it still feels like I'm coding - just in natural language not in DAX and I don't have to stare at it and figured out if I missed a comma.

Could at most be called a Fritterie if it's the Dutch/Belgian style that serves fries with sauces in cones, quite different from a traditional English chippy, but those are usually stalls at events like markets and fairs, not standalone restaurants.

8 - 9 years ago, before I got into my current job, I was working full time-ish, but either between two part time jobs, or one part time job and some freelancing. Much easier to get work that way as a young graduate w. limited experience.

In 🇺🇸 I my life would have been much more precarious than in 🇬🇧

I've once seen a stall at a food festival where they were making cocktails with liquid nitrogen. They turned out like really nice boozy sorbet.
