David Byrne in his his signature Stop Making Sense era oversized grey suit, with a hint of a white shirt visible, seen here cradling a model of a house in his hands, with a dark bowler hat inexpertly cropped from a Magritte painting, while part of another Magritte painting titled ‘Golconda’ forms the background—men in dark suits and dark bowler hats appear to be raining down from an overcast pale blue sky, falling over red-roofed buildings, positioned upright. This image, or combination of images was inspired by my attempt to literally translate some verses from Talking Heads’ Once in a Lifetime into French as an homage to yet another Magritte painting: ‘The Treachery of Images’,—most famous for the sentence “ceci n’est pas une pipe”, ie this is not a pipe, written below an image of a pipe.

Perhaps the most repulsive detail in that Deconstruction essay in the New Yorker:
