This kit is also pretty sparse on accessories, but the ludicrous size of the beam saber blades makes for a fun visual. I think these blades are typically used for Perfect Grade kits. Overall, a fun kit to build but not one I would recommend for people who like to pose their models. #gunpla

The G-Fortress transformation is pretty impressive in size and fairly smooth, but I find that the double beam rifle does not like to stay attached to the front. Not sure if it’s just an issue for my particular kit but it was enough to dissuade me from trying any aerial shots. #gunpla

Another build in the books. The Master Grade Double Zeta ver Ka. Is definitely a unique build and has plenty of shelf presence, but that’s about all the positives about it. The way the arms are designed is not conducive to dynamic posing, so you’ll have to stick to more basic ones. #gunpla

Weekend build stream starts within the hour! We’ll be building the Double Zeta’s arms today.

I also picked up some nice new dice for my home game from @norsefoundry.com. Highly recommend them!

There were unfortunately some friends that I missed out on getting pictures with, but hopefully I can get one with you next time!

PAX Unplugged photos! Always good to see familiar faces and also make some new friends. Can’t wait to see everyone again next year!

I’m at PAXU! Look for the guy with the orange camping stool.

Progress pic! Double Zeta’s legs have a very unique build process, mostly due to the fact that it’s a transforming suit. #gunpla

Stream starting in a bit! Working on the Double Zeta’s legs today.
November 16, 2025 at 6:49 PM
Thanks for tuning in! The Double Zeta’s backpack is so big that it barely fit inside my smaller light-box. Next stream we’ll work on the legs!

Sunday Build Stream starting soon! We’ll be continuing our build of the Master Grade Double Zeta Gundam ver Ka.
November 9, 2025 at 6:22 PM
Thanks for tuning in! The Double Zeta is a pretty fun build so far, not as posable as other kits I’ve built but still a lot of moving parts for the transformation gimmick.

Took a break from streaming this weekend to go to the Gundam Base pop-up in my state. Took nearly half an hour to get into the parking lot because an NFL game was happening nearby, but it was still a fun time and I even got a few kits for the backlog.

As a 1/100 scale kit, you can see how big REX is compared to a Gundam. The kit is also surprisingly flexible and you can pull off some pretty dynamic poses, though you will need to use the included stand a majority of the time.

This kit is very detailed, but requires some paint to get it accurate to the game model. I added dark gray and silver to a few areas, some light gray on the armor to simulate the inner frame poking through, and yellow to the railgun and radome. The missiles I painted red out of personal preference.

Metal Gear REX is complete! This was my first Kotobukiya kit and I found it pretty enjoyable, aside from some minor complaints such as shallow panel lines and a few pieces that like to fall off. Didn’t feel that much different from building a Bandai kit. #gunpla

Stream will be starting soon! We’ll be finishing up this REX model with the weapons platform this weekend.
September 27, 2025 at 5:39 PM
Finished REX’s legs and also painted some details to depict the inner frame showing from under the armor. All that’s left is the weapons platform. #gunpla

Sunday build stream starts soon! We’ll be building REX’s legs today.
September 21, 2025 at 5:09 PM
Thanks for tuning in yesterday! REX has a lot of details on its armor and some of those panel lines are pretty shallow, so I recommend either re-scribing them or using a darker color for lining. I added metallic blue paint to the front sensor and dark gray in the hip sockets and vulcan pods. #gunpla

The Grace is super posable thanks to its inner frame and also comes with a number of accessories. Only downside is that the back cannon has to be taken out and out back in backwards to pose it over the shoulder, but it can be mounted on either side of the backpack.

This kit was a lot of fun to build, but definitely not for beginners. Those yellow details are separate parts and tiny, so they’re easy to lose if dropped. This is a 1/144-scale kit, so the same as a High Grade or Real Grade Bandai kit.

Thunder Incise Grace is complete! I added metallic teal paint to the sensors and cannon as well as gunmetal and silver to the blades. #gunpla
