Trump is incapable of resisting charm, (male) charisma, and - most importantly - celebrity. He has an unquenchable desire to be near it, has been chasing it his whole life.

Black Americans lived under Jim Crow. Japanese Americans experienced incarceration. They don't need to *imagine* fascism on US soil - if they are of that age they recognise the patterns from lived experience. Perhaps Americans should listen to those who've seen it before.
