When I was growing up, my parents kept a couple of hand made signs on their dining room wall as decoration. One said “Ask and ye shall receive.” and the other said “A rejected opportunity to give is a lost opportunity to receive.” I’ve been thinking about those a lot lately.

I feel myself changing so much. I’m not really using social media to distract myself like I used to. I’m actually facing my issues head on, and I just need to figure out how to deal with them. Each day is a challenge, but as my grandpa said, you’ve got to get out of your comfort zone to grow.

I’ve been going through a lot of changes recently, and even though I’m 45 years old, I still feel like I’m figuring my life out. I guess getting on medication and getting into therapy has been transformative.

So I’ve been posting over on Instagram. I like that’s it’s helping me reconnect with some old friends. I don’t like that one of my old friends let the algorithm take him down the wrong rabbit hole too many times and now he’s no longer with us. I really feel conflicted about it.

Damn leaf-footed bug infestation ruined my abundant pomegranate harvest this year. Gonna have to cut all of the fruit off and throw them out to get rid of the bugs. Live and learn and do better next year I suppose. 🤠🌱 #GardenSky #LeavesIsPlants
