My point I guess is child locks are all fine and good, and even necessary in a lot of cases. But they don’t protect without education.

Never trust a baby gate alone will stop a toddler from getting out onto a balcony.

I really appreciated your “are people solids or liquids” explanation. I feel like that also explains what school boards are missing in their projections, why they are always vastly wrong. Thanks for the detail!

Yah like who does 4th work for?

I hate driving down it between the left turners and the parallel parkers. I hate walking down it. You can’t ride down it. The buses are slow down it.

Too bad we can’t make it means tested, my brother would have just honestly forgotten and $60 would have been a whole day’s work to pay. Rich people though, that’s just the cost of parking.

Just don’t want all Girl Guides to get lumped into the same bucket here so just spreading Girl Guiding Canada’s stance:

Girl Guides of Canada has made a statement, likely in response to the cowardly decisions of Girlguiding UK. 🏳️‍⚧️

People seem to like this idea, but I have no actual knowledge (of anything really, I’m just a mom).

So yeah could people who know things at least have a conversation about that?

K thanks. Bye!

Oh, I forgot one: take school lands and buildings out of VSB’s control and treat them like the community centres they are, as opposed to 8-4 Office parks for children

I also don’t know if it is in the city’s capability, but change the building code to require far more significant soundproofing, so I don’t get complaints about my toddler crying about having to eat broccoli.

Kids temper tantrums are hard enough without having to deal with the neighbour’s tantrums

And you know… all the other good stuff too, like affordability, homelessness etc.

Easy peasy, right?

(I don’t know the emoji for *sarcasm* but insert it here)

Less popular (because I didn’t grow up in Vancouver): get rid of Kits Outdoor pool since we are basically renting that location from climate change.

build more swimming pools in Vancouver, ideally colocated with schools.

And make water safety part of our elementary school curriculum.
