This is unequivocally and categorically wrong. Shepherd's pie is both wonderful and MANDATORY.
Having said that, I have yet to find any in this country that is anywhere near as good as the UK. Side note grievance: I lived in the UK for five years many years ago and miss sausage rolls, Mac pies too.
