Also, there WAS a Great King Moggle Mog trial in 1.0, but it had nothing to do with the stuff going on with Dalamud; A-Ruhn-Senna and the moogle chieftain just came up to him, told him that moogles were disappearing, and he just went, “Well we can’t have that, let me go get my new grandkid”

Did y’all know that back in 1.0, when trials were first introduced, the in-story reason as to why they had timers and cooldowns (the latter obviously didn’t stick around for later) was “Louisoix was a fussy grandpa who was worried about the WoL’s health”?

Rahela said: The most charitable interpretation for this I can think of is "the dev team designed these outfits for minor antagonistic NPCs to wear; presumably for a flashback in this patch or later down the line but decided to let the players have them first" (a la the Orthodox sets for the High House founders or the Darbar set for that one Garlean senator I forget the name of) but. Even then. It's such a bad look for this expansion especially and it's bewildering that nobody caught it.
