This is fascinating. Two key points stuck out to me:
1) In the counties most reliant on transfer payments (Social Security, Medicare) — where they account for more than 25% of all income — Trump won 63% of the vote.

Maybe I'm alone in this but anyone else irked by Betty Gilpin replacing Cole Escola in "Oh, Mary." It takes away from the play's distinctly queer appeal. I don't get it.

Big pet peeve: critical/cultural scholars who misuse the term "self-reflexivity." So many of 'em think it only applies to OTHER PEOPLE, like "self-reflexivity" is something they can exclusively impose on SOMEBODY ELSE. I don't doubt the importance of self-reflexivity.

I don't understand why new social media apps limit participation to this extent. I'm sure it's a matter of infrastructure. The problem is that you can't get off the ground when there's so little content with which to engage.
