Finally, on the topic of the cover I made for the 1st GN team: i actually based it on a beautiful cover of the Maged magazine, as a way of linking the comic to its roots; arab comics!

Some visual development work from when I was still trying to figure out what these 5 cats' story should be! For a while it was about going to art university, and for a short while was even a sports comic! The only thing that stuck was that I wanted them to feel like people i could be friends with :3

In a previous version of their story, these four were actually magical girls! This iteration actually lasted for a very long time, and Irsim would have been a villain... though in many ways they really still are!

A little trip down memory lane, the first versions of all the characters were SUPER different. The oldest of them was Igri, who was a character in my very first graphic novel concept back when I was just 11! Another fun fact is that both Sabit and Harrak started as Steven universe OCs

First of all, some character sheets! I went through a lot of different iterations of these characters over the years, finding a consistent color pallet and style that can work throughout a graphic novel was a lot of work!

this feels almost like a soft reboot or cross between futagohime and lilipri! its actually kind of exciting because i dont feel like we've had very many classical magical girl anime in recent years :O excited to see where it goes!!

i think the word should be decommissioned unless talking about subatomic particles or deep space im so sick of hearing it being used to describe oh i dont know Everything I Have Anything To Do With

so i think this is a pretty good shout and i do wish there were more options, cuz rn it rly feels like (at least where i am in the UK) CBT is used as a cheaper alternative to actual long term therapy for a lot of us that need the consistent support :(

Ive found that only some aspects of CBT are actually usable for me, because so much of it requires an active awareness of how i feel and what i do at all times, and i just don't have the capacity to do that And live my life. some of the techniques actively make my anxiety worse cuz it feeds into it

Love how the new version really makes you feel the utter size of it!!!
