And as the grandchild I didn’t feel like it was my place to contact him if she didn’t want him to know about her life. He lived to be 88 so thanks for the long life genes I guess.

My mom and grandma moved back to NY and he stayed in California. He never paid child support and never tried to see her. About ten years ago I found his marriage/divorce records and his Facebook page. I showed my Mom but she felt like it was in his court to contact her if he wanted to talk to her.
