Alan Garner is a very clever story teller. I love the worlds he's created. His Brisingamen conclusion, Boneland, was just brilliant.

She does look confused and anxious after her long journey doesn’t she, but she came to the right home and the right kind and patient humans. She has a very good life now and seems to have gained a lot more confidence. It’s wonderful to witness.

Reading about your triangle of hope reminded me of Kintsugi, the Japanese art of fixing breaks in precious pottery with gold. The break still happened but you’re learning to adapt into a new and still beautiful version of yourselves.
