Traveled to Oregon last week, fit in an arm sleeve. Jellyfish is about a year old, all the rest was done in 8 hours/1.5 days #tattoo #armsleeve Many thanks to my absolutely incredible artist, I ho is def not on here

A few days ago I posted that an awful neighbor is basically forcing us to move. I'm still so upset about it, but I've seen a few alternative places to live over the past few days so I'm feeling a little less devastated. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

My view for the next week. Some needed R&R will be happening.
In the foreground is a pueblo-type building that's white. Beyond that building are palm trees and an infinity pool lined with reclining chairs and umbrellas. Beyond that is the gorgeous Pacific ocean with creating white waves at the shoreline, then light aqua colored water turning into dark blue near the horizon. The sky is is basically cloudless.

I am definitely traumatized by having loved her and kept her and, in the end, releasing her from this world. I can't really say more than that without sobbing but...I don't think anyone will have such an impact on my heart.

Juno was the most loving and complicated dog I've ever known. She was simultaneously a completely joy and a complete disaster.
Juno is a large white pitbull with brindled spots. Here, she is putting her snout in my hand, face turned into the sun, with her eyes closed. We are standing in a shallow river with trees and grass in the background. Juno is staring up at the camera, you can see her brindle spots more clearly in this picture. Her food bowl is on the ground and her big brown eyes are looking lovingly at you. This is from when Juno was smaller and younger. It's a side shot if her wearing a bandana that says something about candy. She is grumpy because she doesn't like clothes.

Juno was our fourth dog. Yesterday, I got a tattoo tribute to her. This is a stamp of her nose that we got from the crematorium after she died.

Kenzie is 8 now. She still loves ball but she has arthritis in her hips, so we play sparingly. As Toby Keith said "I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was."

Kenzie became my husband's best friend. They both loved trail running so much. They trained and raced a 20 mile race in east Oregon two years in a row.

After Rudy died in 2015, we adopted MacKenzie. She is the sweetest American Staffordshire Terrier (100% by DNA test). She loves her people and fetching balls.

We got Calvin to be a friend to Rudy but they started out as nemeses. The first thing Calvin did when we brought him home was pee in Rudy's food bowl 😂 but in the end they were brothers and friends. Calvin crossed the rainbow bridge last summer (almost a year ago today) at the age of 15.

This is Calvin Rupert. We rescued Calvin in 2008, he was about a year old. He was part Pomeranian, part Chihuahua, and 100% fluff.

This is Sir Walter Rudemiah Longfellow the 3rd, Esquire. Rudy, for short. He was my first dog - a red dappled doxie. I got him at 8 weeks old, when I was a junior in college. I used to sneak him into class with me.
