By blocking the Canso Strait , it benefited Halifax to become an ice-free harbour. Porcupine hill, where the rocks came from, is about half the size it used to be. The water is about 200 feet deep at the crossing site

I'm thinking more of a straight hydroplane. Truck spins around, wheels are still trying to go forward, have no traction on wet road. Dig into grass and gravel on opposite side of road while going backwards/slideways, throwing it into roadway. Guywires prevent more expensive stoppage. Seen it on snow

Grass would be at the back of the wheel wells if it was going forward through the ditch. We really need an approach picture, maybe with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one.

Simple hydroplaning accident leading to a reversal of orientation.
Grass and gravel on wet road indicate the truck was travelling towards the pole. Hydroplaned , reversed into the ditch , knocked over grass in front of pole , grass in front of wheel well. Hit the guy wires and rode up with momentum.

Thankfully, it falls under the category of "Covers", so no Whamageddon if you hear it.

They went so hard astern that the propellers cavitated and alerted the Red October of their presence.

A SPOT unit might have been a better option, with the ability to breadcrumb your travels. But I’m not there, so forgive the presumptive reasoning.
