I was clearing some grass in my garden and came across this little smooth newt. Hopefully they're not too annoyed that I pulled up the grass and they found a new home ASAP.

I was clearing some grass in my garden and came across this little smooth newt. Hopefully they're not too annoyed that I pulled up the grass and they found a new home ASAP.
Our 16S water sampling day was a success and ended with ice cream. These three amazing scientists kept to time all day with such precision that we could sample at high and low tides. Even with the early "horizontal rain" weather.

One of the perks of maternity leave is that I still get to have little staycation days with the baby. We’re incredibly lucky to have this kind of environment within 15 minutes of home 😍⛰️
