A California uni bought me a plane ticket to give a talk next month, which opted me into their travel alert system. So now I get weekly automated alerts warning me against my upcoming travel to Texas (aka my ticket back home). Fair enough, alert system, fair enough.

My daughter wouldn’t go to school unless I promised to take Vaporeon to work. It felt appropriate given all the dark academia storylines in the cartoon. Vaporeon is busy drafting a grant for a creepy pokemon laboratory, which might be the only kind of laboratory the NIH is allowed to fund now anyhow
