I grew up in a neighborhood in Alexandria, VA with exactly two floor plans - one split level, one not. Every house for blocks was one of those floor plans. Made it very easy to find the bathrooms when I was babysitting!

It was the classic Cuomo mispronunciation that replaces m’s with n’s.

I’m sorry to say that you are correct re: the real answer, we had “Mamdani is not an antisemite and also you should learn how to pronounce the man’s name so you don’t sound racist”

The 8:40 am Acela departed right on time and I’ll be home by lunchtime!

I have lost track of ways to say “dating sucks bad enough that I just don’t want to do it”

Housewives. You don’t need tiktok moms, you need Jen Shah and the sprinter van in the beauty lab & laser parking lot. And also Mary Cosby.

And that’s honestly not a bad thing - I don’t think it’s good for these kids to spend too much of their childhoods working! Six months or a year, and then going back to regular school schedules for a while, is probably better for them.

This is one of the weird uncomfortable part of having kids working (WORKING, it’s work!) on Broadway! It remains the case that shows with kids have standards for when a kid has “outgrown” a role. But “13” hired older teens to play young teens and their incentives to stay small were extra fucked.

And all the fundraisers running Giving Tuesday campaigns hate it too, but it WORKS. I do small-dollar digital fundraising for an org that I’m proud to work for, because the money I raise does some good in my city. I hate Giving Tuesday and yet it will be one of my three biggest days of 2025.
