Here are Starbuddy's beans! They're not 100% mauve, much darker, but he's clearly a mix of some kind.

We picked this guy up at the shelter and he's the most ridiculous cuddly guy ever and has the most plush coat out of any cat I've ever had. He's also 12 lbs but so careful. Apparently you can tell if they're a Russian Blue mix if their toe beans have some mauve to them.

Wow, same.

She looks like my Starbuddy!! We think he might be a tabby/Russian Blue mix.

with that, they absolutely deserve to shine. I just ask that you allow the wips to shine in #wippit and refrain from posting query ready or published books. We have lots of events for those projects, you can check @thewriterscalendar.bsky.social for dates, I'll do my best to keep them up to date.

YA Dark Fantasy with a modern-day setting. Basically a cult horror coming-of-age but with magic 😆

Meanwhile I’m over here pitching a manuscript that’s basically MOB PSYCHO 100 × NXIVM documentary, with the vibes of Return to Oz + Jacob's-Ladder-but-make-it-Disney-Princess thrown in.

Oh thank you!! They'd all be fun to write in different ways. I already wrote one of them but I wrote it in the days before I understood plot structure and developmental editing, so it's a meandering mess. 😆

I like the ones that say more or less, "Your stuff is great, it just doesn't work for me personally." Meanwhile the form ones that say, "Do better," just amplify the paranoia. I have noticed at least one agent recently changed her responses from that. Possibly from seeing QT comments? Not sure.

The comments section on QT has been a lifesaver. SO helpful to know if what they send out recommending to revise the query is a form letter, since even a perfectly-written query might be for a book that doesn't suit the agent's list. Trying to remember that as I stack up my rejections.
