He also did an election social media campaign around disinformation about a certain refugee and when I complained to the electoral standards people they said he hadn’t broken any rules because it was social media!

Yep - I wish people would understand that if they keep pirating authors they like, eventually those authors aren’t going to be able to publish anymore books.

Yep - I wish people would understand that if they keep pirating authors they like, eventually those authors aren’t going to be able to publish anymore books.
I also people realise that if they love an author and want to keep reading their work, publishers will drop authors whose books are not selling and it’s probably destroying the midlist.

What’s worse is when piracy sites beg for donations and people give it to them. I’m less bothered by people reading my work for free than I am by other people making money off it when the people who produced the book don’t.
