I think firstly, I'd say that things ebb and flow. Sometimes, we move on, and that's totally OK.
If it's something you miss in your life, I'd explore the why. There are so many reasons that can lead to losing (or temporarily misplacing) a part of us and each needs a different sort of attention...

It depends on where you are and circumstances, of course, but I would start by going to local munches.
(Munches are get together in vanilla settings - neutral ground, so to speak)

That's part of it. I sharpen with a series of whetstones once or twice a year. Other than that, I always keep a piece of leather and some jeweller's rouge / polishing compound handy and strop frequently...

Hmm... the biggest ick I've had to deal with is probably unreasonable overconfidence and entitlement, which leads to questionable consent practices and can be downright dangerous.
Honesty and good communication are so important, but neither can happen if folks are too busy pretending.

This is my wardrobe! (Plus a few drawers in a dresser for small bits.) It's unreasonably small for someone who loves making clothes and wearing layers galore! ;-)

I could've done this fix in 5 minutes on the machine, but sometimes it's nice to take an hour and do it by hand. :-)
