I'm a rabbi in Tampa Florida. I'm also the Official Rabbi™ of the Poscast and Too Much Joy. I drum and golf badly but enthusiastically. I pursue mindfulness and justice. I swear more than most people think a rabbi should.
What WILL you do with your one wild and precious life?

I remember once being in an incredibly wealthy neighborhood, seeing a giant luxury house with an epic backyard — a big pool, lots of high-end furniture, outdoor kitchen…and a giant statue of the Buddha overlooking the whole scene.

By brother in whatever…not sure you really understood his lessons.

When you write the whole piece around the idea of “MeToo” as an adequate description of what caused specific men to lose specific positions, and when you do this incredibly weird cutesy business to avoid *mentioning what happened*, you do a disservice to readers.

I’m old enough that I can’t fully shake the instinct to believe that the NYT is still a serious, legitimate news source. Scary how many people will read this and, because of its source, just accept it as The Truth™.

Look, I mean…he can’t PROVE that there was child sacrifice here, but he can SAY it, and that’s almost the same thing. Right? Right?!?

I’m a Reform Rabbi, but if I were looking for a synagogue to join as a member, it would probably be more about the particulars of that synagogue than movement. Some C synagogues would just feel more like home than some R. The people, the clergy, etc. good luck finding a home!
