Saturday night Chanukah = Jewish dilemma 🤔
Havdalah first or Menorah first?
Ella explains it the long way 😄
Short answer: First Havdalah to say goodbye to Shabbat, then Menorah to welcome the Chanukah light 🕯️✨

“‘We should listen carefully to what the Chanukah lights are telling us.’
The menorah doesn’t just shine — it speaks.
In a world full of noise, sometimes the deepest messages come in quiet flames.
Pause. Look. Listen.
What are the lights saying to you? 🕯️🔥

Lighting the 5th candle of Chanukah with Shaina 🕯️
In Judaism, FIVE matters:
5 Books of Torah
5 fingers = action
5 ways light becomes real
What other Jewish connections to 5 can you think of? Drop them below 👇✨

On Chanukah, one candle stands taller—the shamash.
Why? Because it lights every other flame.
Judaism says the highest place belongs to those who help others shine.

He went to Poland to trace his family history—and found his Jewish soul.
Mark, a local pastor who discovered he was Jewish, met a young Chabad rabbi who asked him to put on tefillin. That rabbi was later murdered—but he changed Mark’s life forever. ✡️

Cancel the menorah lighting? Absolutely not.
Hanukkah is our answer to hate: light over darkness, goodness over evil, faith over fear. Tonight, we light—and we shine brighter than ever.

When Shabbat ends, the Talmud says an extra soul leaves us.
The spices are there to comfort and revive us—so we don’t just smell them, we inhale them 😄
Because in Judaism, even a goodbye to holiness is filled with joy.

Stop waiting for perfect financial security to have children! 🚫 The Rabbi says a child is a channel of blessing that opens new doors for success. Don't rely on your own efforts; the blessings follow the child. Have the kid! 🙏👶

Why a braided candle for Havdalah? Because as we leave Shabbat’s peace, we illuminate even the darkest days ahead.

Why does the Mikvah ritual need 40 Sa'ah of water? The number 40 symbolizes spiritual rebirth! A baby is fully formed after 40 days, and the Flood lasted 40 days/nights. Dip in for a complete spiritual reset! 💧✨ #Mikvah #SpiritualRebirth #Judaism

In a Jewish cemetery, hands on a stone (matzeivah) mean the person was a Kohen (Jewish priest). 🕊️ It's the same Priestly Blessing gesture. Fun fact: Leonard Nimoy saw this in shul as a kid and used it for Spock's "Live Long and Prosper." 🚀✨

A timeless lesson from the Torah: When Abraham died, Isaac & Ishmael came together to bury him! Even after deep conflict, their reunion shows that unity is possible. The Sages say Ishmael even did Teshuvah. A powerful message of hope we must never give up on. 🙏🕊️ #Peace #Unity #Abraham

The Kabbalah of Life: Jacob's journey to Haran (work, family, difficult people) is an analogy for OUR lives. The purpose isn't just heaven; it's to transform this physical world right here. We fulfill our destiny through the grind.

Walking through a Jewish cemetery is like reading our history. Every symbol on a tombstone (matzeivah) whispers a life:🕯️ (light/soul), ✡️ (Jewish identity),✋✋(Kohen blessing), פ״נ ("here lies..."). These stones mark lives of faith and mitzvos, not just an end.

Why did the angels need a ladder? 🪜 The path to spirituality isn't a jump—it's a climb. Every kind act, every prayer, every mitzvah is one rung at a time toward a closer connection with Hashem. Keep taking those small steps! 💪 #JacobsLadder #SpiritualGrowth #Mitzvah
