on one hand, i love playing simple and quick arcade/story modes. so a quick 15 minute play session where i would unlock a costume at the end is a core childhood memory.
but god unlocking everything at once also hits different. im glad i finally got to do it.

can't stress enough how hilariously satisfying it was to see kasumi jump from having 3 costumes, to having 20.

if you want a super charming ps1 game with an adorable art direction, i recommend it. it's really simple and easy to play, but i was locked in bc it's such a cute and comfy game. cozy, if you will.

my feeling further persists due to how tamaki was considered a GUEST character in doa6....the girl who debuted in Dead Or Alive spinoff wasn't considered a Dead or Alive character. i think about that a lot.

there's a lot of thoughts I've had about the direction doax went but those have all faded into the ether bc i kinda dont care anymore but the one that persists is that i think venus vacation clearly doesnt need the DOA identity to succeed, so stop calling it DOA lmao

i should be clear that i have no beef with venus vacation. prism sounds like an interesting standalone game. but like. it just sounds like its own IP at this point, and that's okay!

and it's attached as a subtitle...like an after thought. It's just bizarre to me bc if you omit the OG doa girlies and omit the gameplay from doax, omitting anything that makes doa, well, dead or alive, why keep that name?
