New bicycle counters added along the #C2C part of #S2S this week! Hopefully it will illustrate the numbers of people using these ‘empty’ (aka uncongested) routes, and freeing up space on roads and seats on public transport.

An unusual photo taken from the ISS (International Space Station), where the normal view would be a part of the earth in focus below, with blurry star tails in the 'sky' behind. Instead, astronaut Pettit used a stabilizing head for his camera so that it could point steadily at the stars over an extended exposure, producing a stunning view of a 'sky' full of pinpointed stars, including two nebula or galaxies. The earth is a blurry green below and between them is the thin orange band of the atmosphere glowing at sunsets.

New Social Site appeal:

I will donate my first born (cycle) to whomever can get red-lights-are-yield-signs for bicycles into law.

It would make commuting so much easier and finally remove the red-light whataboutism we hear from recalcitrant drivers.
