Since Metroid is still a couple days away I started playing th-Ys.
I'm not all that fond of the spastic combat, like in hostile areas if you stop being a death tornado for a second you're fucked and my thumbs hurt if I play too long, but it has its charm.

Since Metroid is still a couple days away I started playing th-Ys.
I'm not all that fond of the spastic combat, like in hostile areas if you stop being a death tornado for a second you're fucked and my thumbs hurt if I play too long, but it has its charm.

80 hours like the devs said.
If it wasn't for what is basically an epilogue/ending cut-scene it felt like it could be self-contained but then it leaves you hanging off a cliff rather badly.
So yeah, I'm now eagerly awaiting the 2nd chapter.

Nintendo released a video on how to use Game Key Cards and they used Pokémon Pokopia as an exemple.
Does that mean Pokémon Pokopia will release on a GKC ? It would be extremely concerning if first party games also released in this bastard format.

For some reason Nintendo's new eshop app has your playing history going back as far as the 3DS.
Here's my somewhat shameful list of longest played titles, the king being Pokémon Shuffle at 3100+ hours.
I was also using the WiiU web browser a lot back when it worked with stuff.

I wrapped up #BLUD today.
It was a fun game of adequate length. The animation and graphics in a cartoon style are pretty impressive.
It has some issues, the combat doesn't feel great, the level design is so-so but it makes up for it with lots of soul.
Worth a playthrough.

GKCs are just the worst of both worlds compared to physical media (the inconvenience of having to swap carts) and digital media (needs to be downloaded, requires storage space ...).

To continue the spooky theme I decided to start BLUD after finishing Death Mark. I needed some action.
The art in this is delightful, it really feels like a cartoon. I'm not sure about the scope though, the intro felt too "big" for its own good, bloated. It's quite enjoyable anyway.
