For Scotland, April 2025 was the 3rd warmest April ever recorded, 1.8C above the 19881-2010 average, beaten only by 2011 & 2007 . 2.8C warmer than the 1961-1990 average. Also the 2nd sunniest April ever with > 50% more sunshine than average, beaten only by 2021.

March 2025 was the 7th warmest and 13th sunniest March ever recorded (temperature records start in 1884). It was 1.7ºC above the 1991-2020 average.

2024 was Scotland's 6th warmest year in records which go back to 1884. May was the warmest May ever and December the 7th warmest December. Spring 2024 was the warmest Scottish spring ever. We also had the 4th wettest April.

9 of the 10 warmest years have been since 2000, the other one is 1997.
