I went back to the buffet.
To me, he looks like he's wondering "Where is pancakes house?"

I miss this place so much. I went there all the time when I worked on 18th.

Did they ever bring back the live music?

Mgmt would get on us for eventually redoing their work after their multiple tries to correct their errors, telling us they wouldn't learn of we did that. We would say, "Listen to what we're saying. They're either incapable of or not interested in learning." It fell on deaf ears. We are doomed.

I was working overtime,  for free,  redoing their work because after 8 to 12 attempts to fix it, the still couldn't get it right,  even when we told them exactly how to fix it. It was truly disheartening & actually pretty frightening.

This was an issue before Covid, so I can't blame it on Covid brain fog.  Even those instructors who were former teachers couldn't get through to these employees.   This apathy/dysfunction/disengagement is the primary reason I retired. It was so mentally exhausting.

They were incapable of composing free text  when needed, & instead relied on canned text, none of which would even apply to the claim they were attempting to address. Most of these hires attended school before we were all so attached to our screens.

I noticed this same level of dysfunction in my job (I'm now retired) over the past several years. Our new hires, most of whom were in their 40s & early 50s, refused to do the reading, couldn't retain anything even when they did, & couldn't articulate what they were confused about.

Saw this in the theater this week and it was almost like a Rocky Horror experience. It was clear that we'd all seen it at least 20 times. So much fun!

Shout out to my mom, who's a great cook & made holiday meals from scratch for 50 damn years. In fact, shout out to all moms ( and dads) who do this every year & make it look easy. I haven't appreciated u enuf. Next year, I'm bringing fried turkey clubs from Arby's & that's all there is to it.
