Whether in or not, I hope the ~4 hit diff btwn his .299 & .300 doesn't factor in any votes. He's a .300. If he didn't try to make a comeback, closer to .310. That effort should be applauded, not penalized.

I'd love to see Hall loosen up a little for these edge cases. Esp Championship & MVP winners.

We objectively lost the election. Now his voters are going to find out where their results track on the "fuck around and find out" graph, and all the rest of us can do is say it's dumb but the GOP has the right.

What player wants to have the hassle of crossing the border ~100 times a year, if they have any other reasonable options? Plus lots of other hassles: residency, higher tax rates, $🇺🇸/🇨🇦 issues, etc. Toronto probably needs to blow other teams out of the water for free agency, not just biggest offers.

We've seen the rise of new monstrous divisions, but the AL East never gets easier to play in.

Loved catching a game in Denver once. A great stadium right in the heart of the city.

Haven't been to Pittsburgh, but wow does that look like a special place to watch baseball.

MLB should be *furious* when these owners aren't putting quality teams out, packing stadiums and building the sport.

I'm sorry to report, but they are very real. Seeing one up close do impossible things was a two week existential crisis for my once devoutly skeptical/atheist self.

Worse was other people saw it, too. I'd have preferred being able to think I'd just gone crazy out of nowhere for a night.

So the biggest companies get to skip rules & cut lines, making smaller (often still large) companies wait - and if the smaller ones struggle/get bogged down, they're that much likelier to get gobbled up by the big boys.

Actually, this is more of the same, as our 'capitalism' gets ever cornier.

If a team doesn't get Soto, that doesn't necessary mean they're going to spend that money on Teoscar Hernandez and Max Fried or whoever. It might mean they don't sign any major FA. Meanwhile, if a team does sign Soto, they're going all in, so could be *more* likely to sign another big missing piece.

Just imagine all of the Assad regime materials that could come out of this.
