game's definitely picked up the pace this sesh. there are issues aside from paradise island (the skill point system is off-putting, with how often i've been just shy of the point-amount i needed to do cool stuff), and i can't recommend the game for reasons of the ongoing boycott-

then inez - the companion i had the most trouble warming up to - told me about a drawing mentor she had, and how he lost use of his hand before growing weak and disappearing.
reminded me of a late relative's arm injury that ended his art hobby. didn't expect that to hit me emotionally as it did...

i really, *really* love the 4th companion you meet, tristan. he's equal parts distinguished, menacing, and dorky.
i love that the entirety of the player's crew hates his ass while he's just thinking of deep-cleaning your ship and wondering if inez likes him LMAO.

i've recently learned that it used to be called "rap genius", and was gradually gentrified by users submitting non-rap lyrics until the site was renamed, which is upsetting in its own way,
