Actually they have a lot in common. They're both weird and queer, for one. Or two. 😂

I absolutely 100% trust them to fuck up and somehow make it slightly worse.

The thing is it gets cringe for us much faster than regular civilians, when you're talking about a general public. This could probably go another year while we cringe ourselves to death.

I do like Portland, but the housing prices... The tents lining the sidewalk in the snow...

Housing crises give a city a certain terrible air pressure and I can't endure it anymore. All over Bordeaux they are building housing like mad. Almost makes me cry with relief sometimes.

Anyway I'm in Bordeaux now, & I think I'm going to die here. Good second cities are the best: affordable, vibrant, even walkable. They can experiment in livability more easily, and they've got 2 or 3 of everything, rather than 4 or 5. Best of all, Bordeaux's whole vibe is chill queer and good wine.

Mamdani probably can't make prostitution legal, but it's a good idea. Legalizing in (parts of) Europe has lead to rights and protections for sex workers, health and safety regulations, and almost no change in the market.

Hey now we're only like a month or so away from New Yorkers annually heading to Florida to get away from the snow, and then complain about Florida 😂
