If it gives your brain that "safety net" to explore, I don't see how that could be a bad thing. Would calling it something like "experimental, may contain xyz" help? Give you more room to be experimental in general?

"How to lie with maps" is basically "how to lie with statistics" (I highly recommend both) since maps are effectively applied statistics in a visual form. Still a good read.
