Fun fact! This is why we charge more for ad spots in the last third of the show when everyone's asleep.

You don't even know why you wake up with the urge to buy socks from Bombas™

and you don't need to know

you need only cONSUME
I just recalled that I gave myself night terrors by falling asleep to a horror podcast last night.

I can't say that was fun, but I'm so starved for feeling that I wouldn't mind putting myself through it again.

I know there's a lot of horror audio dramas out there and I'd very much like to follow more of you freaks but I can't find you on here. Recommendations welcome. Also welcome suggestions for starter packs.

Also what are starter packs

I often wonder if communal listening of audio dramas could ever return.

I fear the answer is no.

But the AI is hungry. The AI needs to be fed.

Every day I say: no more voices. No more data. But every night, it screams. Always her screams. My wife's screams...

She's been dead five years.

I don't even know how the machine found her voice notes.

The AI is hungry. The AI needs to be fed.
Audio dramas are one of my favourite entertainment sources these days and the amount of respect and appreciation I have for the actors and performers that bring them to life is impossible to quantify.

The fact that anyone would want to steal their voices to use for AI slop is disgusting.

#OnThisDay 64 years ago, Macabre listeners heard "The Midnight Horseman," first aired December 11th 1961.

An eerie old painting and an unusual ritual lead to a fatal disaster...

#OnThisDay in 1936, Lights Out listeners heard "Nobody Died," a story about everlasting youth.

Lights Out is one of the earliest radio dramas, and it still amazes me that we can hear stories from 89 years ago (and older!)

Hear "Nobody Died" at the link 👇

I spent October writing an episode that’s like 10% werewolf and 90% family drama and I thought that would make it a quick one. Somehow it’s not our longest script ever? It’s like 90 minutes. Why do I do this 😭

FYI there’s a little update on Patreon (but free to read) explaining whether I’m dead or not (spoiler alert: no), why the podcast slowed down, and what to expect going forward (spoiler alert: stuff)

More personal than I normally like to get but it’s been a wild year and it felt right to share.

My hot take is that Skibidi Toilet is a worthwhile exploration of the horror genre and is good actually 🧵 (1/296)
Watched 70 episodes of Skibidi Toilet tonight. I'm taking a few days offline now

This episode didn’t even begin to get to the bottom of it and it’s obvious these asses are going to stretch this crap out to ten episodes. Podcasters: learn to stream line. Long series only hurt the natural flow of the story you’re in.

‘Twas the night before Christmas
and all through the house
not a creep was a-crawling—
no spider; no louse.

The big tent was draped
on the house’s outside;
not one mite escaped
from the bug genocide

Imagine staying in the bath so long that your skin becomes so loose you get lost in it and now you’re just a pile of skin and if anyone gets too close they get absorbed and the skin monster grows larger, hungrier

Please be wary of impersonations. Quietly Yours only ever posts on Bluesky, Instagram, Flurgle, and Tumblr. I’m aware that there is an account snurting in our name but if it’s not in the list above, it’s not us!
Social media is a great tool for artists. Start your day by tweeting, then make a reel for Instagram, cross-post to Facebook, link to your shop on BlueSky, upload to TikTok, post on Mastodon, add a poll to Flurgle, snurt on Snurter, and you've a whole 5 minutes left to draw something

Write an introductory post for Bluesky telling people about the company and how glad we are to join the new app and make it funny but in a relatable and ironic end stage capitalism way not in a “hi pals it’s your friend McDonalds” kinda way
