A few people brought this up - Tufekci accuses me of being dishonest because I published a paper stating that we did not find a lab leak plausible (March 17) while also stating that I found a lab leak “friggin’ likely”.

Yes, I am curious what the current scientific thinking is on this. I recently saw a video "How I learnt Norwegian on my own" by a person who became near native and none of it is special beyond using the language like native speakers would, not using other languages as a crutch.
