Dems hold the higher moral ground and stronger bargaining position on this shutdown.

Too much is at stake to concede now. Giving in risks losing the leverage you do have, and risks undoing hard won gains to health care coverage over the past decade.

Finishing this project in 2018, we reflected on how SecComm would undermine ACA enrollment during Trump 1.0, discussed implications of findings for trust in gov as info/resource provider for pandemic crises.

The threat of masked men grabbing you out of nowhere must make this concern more acute.
