Agreed, once they started running into Russian pak fronts, I have not seen any evidence of thought by the Germans to implement new tactics to deal with new defences. The Russians continually evaluated what was and was not working leading to a much better army by the end of the war.

Fascinating, thank you. I’ve read about his and noted the concern by the Germans when running into a pak front, as far as your aware, did the Germans develop a way to assault such a front?
