I’ve never been an Xbox gamer, but always saw the value in GamePass (prior to the price jump).

I do love my PS5 Pro, but with their rising costs too, I’ve been toying with the idea of it being my last console and sticking to PC.

Now with the Steam Machine, the answer is clear.

Valve, ya got me.

Reminiscent of classic platformers from the 90’s, Windswept harkens back to the days of Nintendo’s greatest. If you’ve ever wanted something akin to a spiritual successor of the Donkey Kong Country series, than look no further.

Was upset earlier that my Hell is Us copy was delayed to who knows when, cause I wanted to plow through that before starting Silksong.

But decided to pickup the Switch 2 version of Silksong, and WOW. I’m only a few hours in, but I’m certifiably addicted. Already enjoying it more than Hollow Knight

Finished Sword of the Sea last night, one of the most stunningly beautiful games I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing.

Started Sword of the Sea tonight.
Wow.

Herdling is a beautiful experience bogged down by its controls. Sweeping vistas with a score alongside it, reminiscent of games like Flower and Journey. It’s just a shame that it’s not as enjoyable as it could’ve been due to how it feels.

I have rolled credits on Donkey Kong Bananza. Peak gaming right there. Debating on if I’ll do a review of it. It’ll basically be three words in length, “BUY IT ALREADY”. I’m in the post game now, and excited as ever to get that 100%

Mafia: The Old Country feels like a step back both in time and towards the earlier games in the franchise, rather than pushing into the new direction that 3 was going for. It’s still an enjoyable experience, but otherwise lacking.

Just hit the 80% mark in Mafia The Old Country, we’re getting it to the end. Should have it finished tomorrow with a review this upcoming Sunday.

It has its problems but I can’t deny I’ve been enjoying my time with it. Looking forward to seeing its conclusion. But for now, it’s goodnight 😴

Truly feels like I’m playing a movie. I know it’s not the type of game for everyone, but man I’m enjoying every second. #MafiaTOC

Really enjoying my time with Mafia The Old Country so far! Absolutely stunning in terms of quality. But it harkens back to the 360/PS3 era of these tightly nit story based games (in the best way). I miss this linear structure from time to time. Nothing quite like collectible hunting in missions too!

I love them so much.

A love letter to classic titles, mixed with the quality of life features you’d expect out of a modern day game. Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo is an indie title that needs to be played if you’re itching to relive the good ole days.

I’m absolutely floored. Just finished Clair Obscur Expedition 33, and my god. I’ve been completely encapsulated with it the past couple weeks since it came outs Well now that it’s over, all I can think of is the hole left by its absence.

I’ll have my review soon.

Tried out Towerborne. Uhhh this slaps? I knew Stoic were amazing devs, The Banner Saga Trilogy is incredible, but I was worried with them taking on this F2P multiplayer live service type of game. I can safely say I was wrong. I’ll have my first impressions of it up on Sunday!

Looks like we’re showing some FPS love! Now while I’m not big on the genre, there were some that defined my tastes. Here are some of my personal favorites:

Rough week. So won’t have an article up tomorrow. But don’t you worry, there will be one next week!

In the meantime, I WHOLLY recommend Clair Obscur Expedition 33. I quite literally can’t put it down. Been playing it all day!
