Today’s the day! We’re two! Whoa!!! I hope there’s cake for breakfast. 🎂 We’ve spent the last two years circulating queer books all across the US, and we are so excited to step into year three.

Censorship has no place in a free, literate, and educated society. Access to literature, information, and resources is that support our communities is vital. QLL is here for the fight to keep access open.

Four of the Top Ten Most Challenged Books of 2024 were on the list due to the inclusion of LGBTQIA+ characters or themes.

2024 was a pretty intense year for book banning. With 2,452 unique titles challenged over 821 attempts, last year ranks in the top three of most-challenged books since the ALA started tracking book banning stats in 1990.
