I made a regular recolour too! I thought it'd be interesting to see how it looked. I prefer them shiny, personally.

I met & rescued this lovely little guy yesterday. They were a little too adventurous and had ended up stranded on a bridge, with a very long fall to the water below and no greenery in sight.
I was really drawn in by their beautifully vibrant body. 💜🐛

The little friend I met yesterday was a winter firefly! They were up in the woods drinking sap from tree bark. 💜🍁
Their colours were so lovely, I wanted to draw them in a pose where you could see every part of them!

This particular brachiopod seems to be articulate, with a hinged shell. It's fairly flat on the top minus the ridge of the hinge, and it has a curved, bumpy bottom lip. The plane of symmetry is ridged with thin lines that separate the two halves of the shell. The actual fossil has a faint sheen, and it shines in the light.

I used a mix of paint marker and pencil crayon to refine the colours a bit. I think I'm improving a little with each piece!

I'm not at the same level as many of the incredible artists here, but I'll share my stuff anyways! 💜

The dragon's body is a dark blue-black, mottled with a scale-like darker bumpy texture. Bright blue traces their underbelly, the bottom of their tail and feet, the tips of their rhinopore-horns, and a band of it stretches between their eyes. The same blue also outlines their gill-wings, which sprout from their back, branching like a plant. Black markings are scattered across their back beneath them. Rounded spines trace the line of their back, and they have large, shining claws on their front feet, extended like a cat excited to pounce. Their hind leg is hidden behind their wide, slug-like tail.

The ground beneath them is wet, covered in swamp grass and puddles that reflect a murky view of them and the starry night sky above. It peeks out from behind the large, vine covered tree in the background, fireflies dancing in its branches and leaves.
